Microsoft Power BI

Feature availability

Many customers utilize AirData's API to integrate with dashboard tools like Microsoft Power BI. Although we don't offer a native integration with Power BI, we can guide you through the initial setup process.
  1. Request Your API Key: Email us at [email protected] to obtain your API key. Please keep this key confidential and do not share it outside your organization for security reasons. Access to our API is included with the Enterprise plan.

  2. Base64 Conversion: Power BI requires the API key to be in Base64 format. You can use various online tools to convert your API key.

  3. Adding Data in Power BI:
    1. Go to "Add Data" from the Web and select "Advanced".
    2. In the URL field, enter: https://api.airdata.com/flights?detail_level=comprehensive
    3. For more parameters and options, visit our API documentation.
    4. In the "HTTP request header parameters (optional)" field, manually type "Authorization".
    5. Enter {base64_key} as your authorization value.

  4. Additional Integration Steps: You might need to implement a gateway or write custom integration code for seamless reporting in Power BI. Due to the lack of direct integration, we cannot support or troubleshoot Power BI-specific issues. However, we're happy to assist with any AirData API-specific questions or if you encounter missing calls.
